Built to Perform. Committed to Responsibility.
At H2Oil Energy Inc., we take a practical, field-driven approach to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance. Our focus is on doing the right thing—for our crews, our communities, and the environment—through real, measurable actions that support long-term operational responsibility. We don’t make blanket promises. We improve where it matters most: in our equipment, in how we train and treat our people, and in how we conduct business across Northwest Alberta’s energy sector.
We prioritize sustainability through actionable initiatives such as reducing emissions, conserving and reusing cleaning water, and minimizing waste. Our approach promotes environmental responsibility while actively working to reduce our operational footprint.
Environmental Stewardship
We’re actively reducing the environmental impact of our operations—starting with our fleet.
- Idle Reduction: We’re retrofitting units with cab and engine heaters, allowing operators to stay warm and operational without extended idling.
- Eco-Friendly Tires: We’ve started transitioning to low-rolling-resistance tires, which improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
- Emissions Controls: Our units are equipped with advanced fuel after-treatment systems to meet or exceed emissions standards.
- Aerodynamic Upgrades: We’re introducing eco mudflaps across our fleet—designed to improve aerodynamics and reduce drag-related fuel consumption.
- Waste Minimization: We continually refine our chemical handling, cleaning processes, and fleet maintenance to minimize spills, reduce material waste, and conserve fuel on every job.
Our commitment isn’t flashy—it’s practical. We aim to reduce our footprint while keeping performance high and downtime low.
Social Responsibility
People are at the core of everything we do. We invest in safe, inclusive, and respectful workplaces—and support the communities we live and work in.
- Safety-First Culture: From orientation to field operations, safety is built into every level of our training and decision-making.
- Inclusive Hiring: We continue to strengthen our team with skilled, diverse talent from across the Peace Region and beyond.
- Community Engagement: We support local initiatives and partnerships, especially those that promote safety, education, and career development.
- Indigenous Relations: We are committed to building meaningful, long-term relationships with Indigenous communities through employment, procurement, and partnership opportunities.
We believe a strong team culture—built on respect and accountability—delivers better outcomes for everyone.
Governance
We run our business the way we run our field operations—with transparency, compliance, and integrity.
- Accountability: Our leadership holds the company to high operational and ethical standards, from field activities to financial reporting.
- Compliance: We maintain strong alignment with TDG, NSC, and WCB requirements, and participate in programs like ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, and Avetta.
- Continuous Improvement: We regularly review our policies, operations, and safety practices to ensure they evolve with industry standards and client expectations.
Strong governance isn’t about policies—it’s about how we operate every day, on every job.
